87 clashes since beginning of day, with highest number in Toretsk direction - General Staff

Since the beginning of the day, the number of clashes on the front has increased to 87. The most intense fighting took place in the Toretsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation in directions

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy has increased the number of attacks to nine. Currently, battles are ongoing in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, and Synkivka.

In the Lyman direction, eight assault actions have been recorded since the beginning of the day. The enemy is actively operating in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, Terny, and Torske.

In the Toretsk direction, the number of attacks has risen to 21. Currently, four battles are underway near Pivnichne and New York.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian troops are attacking in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, and Novoselivka Persha. Five more battles are ongoing.

In the Pridniprovskyi direction, the Russian army is active in the area of Krynky. Six attacks have been recorded since the beginning of the day.

Situation on the frontline

According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian fighters are holding back the enemy on multiple fronts. However, Russian troops have managed to make some progress near Kupiansk.

In particular, during the past day, June 26, Defense Forces eliminated 1260 Russian troops. Three tanks and nearly a dozen armored combat vehicles were destroyed.
