Fans of Taylor Swift are irritated she hasn’t featured on Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast but others have hit back at them.

Every Wednesday, thousands upon thousands of fans tune into the New Heights podcast to listen to Travis Kelce and his brother Jason talk about everything from sports to, you guessed it, Taylor Swift. Since Trav began dating her, the siblings have been wonderfully supportive of her on the show, always taking the opportunity to shower praise upon the Eras Tour and her work. Shared with the world on Wednesday, June 26th 2024, the latest New Heights episode was recorded in London on Saturday, June 22nd, and Swifties knew all too well that Tay was performing there at Wembley Stadium that weekend…

New Heights fans get defensive after outcry for Taylor Swift as a guest

Reacting in the live chat of the latest New Heights pod, the Swifties showed up big time to demand an appearance from Taylor.

“I want to see Taylor!” one reacted in the chat, another chiming in similarly with “Hope we see Taylor.”

With more and more desperate for the 34-year-old singer-songwriter to drop in, it began to rub some New Heights fans the wrong way, big time. “Taylor’s not showing up,” somebody warned. “So if you’re here for just that, you can exit.”

Agreeing, another replied “You are so right. It can get a bit out of hand.”

Jason was attending a string of Eras Tour shows with his wife, and the episode was recorded on the morning on night 2. As fans knew thatTravis joined her on stage during night 3 on Sunday, June 23rd, some Swifties were expecting Taylor to return the favor and jump on to record.

“Sadly we have to wait till next week to see Trav’s Eras Tour debut since this was London night 2,” a fan pointed out. However, more Taylor talk only caused a rift in the New Heights fandom: “If you don’t want to watch cause Taylor isn’t here how about you leave… the rest of us are here because we enjoy Travis and Jason with or without Taylor.”

Reiterating others’ point, a fan wrote “Nothing about N2 or N3 will be covered today guys,” knowing it was filmed on the morning of night 2.

The battle in the live chat and comments raged on. “Don’t forget you guys, the KELCE brothers,” somebody added, reminding everybody it’s their pod.

Despite there being no meltdown-inducing appearance from Tay, the pod did offer something for Swifties more specifically to treasure.

“Dude, it was amazing,” Jason said of his first Eras Tour experience. “… It was insanely impressive… It was an awesome experience. The Swifties make it very memorable.”

He even had the waterworks unexpectedly creep up on him: “The 22 hat? Dude, I’ve never cried at a f***ing concert and I was literally tearing up watching this little girl’s entire … I’m about to tear up right now. It was f***ing so special.” He’s calling back to an adorable moment when Tay gave her hat to a fan in the crowd.

“Every single show she does it,” Trav told his brother. And every single show is special.
