Tropical Wave: 60% Chance That It Will Develop Into Storm East Of Caribbean This Weekend

The wave designated as Invest AL95 (NHC)

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic Ocean that has a 60% chance of developing into a tropical depression or storm by this weekend.

The wave, designated Invest AL95, is currently located several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands and is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

Environmental conditions are expected to be favorable for development, and the NHC forecasts a tropical depression or storm to form by Saturday as the system moves westward at 15 to 20 mph.

The NHC advises interests in the Lesser Antilles to closely monitor the progress of the system. While the specific path remains uncertain at this time, residents in the region should stay informed of the latest updates from the NHC.

Meanwhile, a separate tropical wave is located in the western Caribbean Sea and is producing widespread showers and thunderstorms. This system, designated Invest AL94, has a low chance of developing over the next few days.
