Noa Lang tips £34m Arsenal player for 'comeback season' on Instagram as he trains with him

Noa Lang has tipped one Arsenal player for a comeback season on Instagram with the pair currently training together ahead of pre-season.

There is definitely pressure on Mikel Arteta’s men to go one better next year after coming so close to clinching the Premier League title in the previous two campaigns.

Of course, the supporters will hope that Edu brings in the new signings which take the squad to that next level, but there are also one or two players who will be looking to make much more of an impact than last year.

Arsenal fans were extremely excited when they signed Jurrien Timber for an initial £34 million last year, but he would end the campaign with just two appearances.

Noa Lang tips Jurrien Timber for comeback season at Arsenal

Timber would sustain an injury in the opening day win over Nottingham Forest, and he would not return for the first-team until the final day, coming on against Everton.

Arsenal probably had most of their issues last season at left-back, and that is perhaps where Timber would have featured fairly often considering how the three other men in the backline had seemingly got a strong grip on their places in the side.

There is a lot of excitement for what Timber could be capable of amongst Arsenal fans, but it seems that countryman Noa Lang is just as optimistic, as he responded to the defender’s Instagram post as they seemingly gear up for pre-season…

Gunners will hope Dutchman follows in William Saliba’s footsteps

There are almost shades of William Saliba in how Timber is viewed by the Arsenal fanbase. It is almost easy to forget now how long it took for Saliba to actually make his debut.

Obviously, Timber has made his debut, but, like Saliba, his stock almost seemed to rise because he was not playing for Arsenal.

Saliba has gone on to live up to expectations and more, arguably proving to be the best centre-back in the Premier League last season.

It could prove to be massive for Arsenal if Timber’s comeback season does indeed live up to the hype.
