Fast rising wide receiver Landon Roldan won’t have to go far to play his college football. The North Oconee (Ga.) High School product rated as a three-star by On3 and the Industry Ranking is coming off of an official visit to Georgia and just announced his commitment to the hometown Bulldogs.

Just this summer, Roldan added offers from Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt. A pair of impressive workouts in Athens ended with Kirby Smart and his staff extending one too. It came with special significance for the local speedster, who reportedly ran a 4.4 40-yard dash at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds.

“After Coach Smart told me, I was very thankful and blessed about the opportunity,” Roldan told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson after receiving the offer. “Georgia is a program that is very successful to me. They get the job done.”

“Growing up I loved Georgia, so I have always had a connection to them,” Roldan added. “Off the field, Georgia is a great campus and there is a lot of stuff around to do. It will also be 20 minutes from my house so that is nice…They have turned up the heat, especially by saying I could play a role on the team.”

Roldan joins Georgia’s three current receiver commitments in the Class of 2025: Talyn Taylor, Tyler Williams and Thomas Blackshear. All three are four-stars with Taylor ranking as high as No. 50 in the nation overall (No. 9 among players at the position) according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Roldan comes as the second receiver commit this week in the aftermath of highly coveted Milton prospect CJ Wiley choosing Florida State over Georgia and LSU on Tuesday. Wiley’s fellow Atlanta native Travis Smith is expected to announce a decision next month with the Bulldogs involved there as well. Whether UGA is able to land one of the two in-state stars or not, the makings of a strong receiver class is there with Taylor, Williams, Blackshear and now Roldan in the fold already.

Georgia’s class entered the commitment of Roldan ranked No. 3 in the nation, now with 17 commits in total. Five-stars Elyiss Williams, Zayden Walker and Isaiah Gibson headline the class currently with others like Ryan Montgomery, Darren Ikinnagbon, Ethan Barbour, Christian Garrett, Bo Walker and Todd Robinson on board as well.
