Ukrainian forces have ousted the Russian army from the Kanal microdistrict in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, announces Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Khortytsia military unit.

Ukrainian defenders have ousted the Russian army of the Kanal microdistrict in Chasiv Yar city. "However, we do not exclude that the Russian army will try to recapture the lost positions," said Voloshyn.

According to him, Russian forces have infiltrated Chasiv Yar in small groups and are attempting continuous assaults and consolidation in the city. Defense forces are actively countering these attempts.

The spokesperson reported that in the past day alone, 1223 mortar and artillery bombardments have been recorded in this direction.

In the Chasiv Yar area, 246 bombardments were recorded, with the majority concentrated in the southern part of the city.

"Overall in this direction, there have been 31 enemy assaults, two of which targeted Chasiv Yar. Enemy aviation has conducted 15 airstrikes along this axis, dropping 17 bombs. Two airstrikes specifically targeted Chasiv Yar," added Voloshyn.

He noted that the enemy army covers its assault operations with artillery bombardments, drone kamikaze drops, and lancets.

Additionally, according to the spokesperson, Ukrainian forces destroyed 85 Russian soldiers and wounded 82 soldiers in the Chasiv Yar direction over the past day.

Situation at the front on June 27

According to the latest data from the General Staff, the number of clashes on the front has risen to 87 since the beginning of the day. The most intense fighting occurred in the Toretsk direction.

According to a report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian fighters are holding back the enemy on multiple fronts. However, Russian forces have managed to make some advances near Kupiansk.
