As Democrats openly questioned President Joe Biden's widely regarded poor showing at Thursday night's debate, former President Donald Trump boasted that he's not only in great cognitive shape, he's as healthy as he's been in decades.

And he challenged his rival to match him at on the golf course.

"I just won two club championships," he said. "Not even senior. Two club championships. To do that you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way."

Trump's boast elicited a laugh from Biden, but Trump wasn't deterred.

"He doesn't do it. He can't do it. He can't hit a ball 50 yards," Trump said, eliciting another strong reaction from Biden, who couldn't help but scoff and turn his head. "I think that I'm in very good shape. I feel that I'm in as good of shape as I was 25, 30 years ago."

In his response, the 81-years-young Biden took Trump up on his sporting challenge: "Look, I'd be happy to have a driving contest with him. I got my handicap while I was vice president down to a six."

Biden's claim left Trump visibly laughing, and the two traded volleys in a contentious exchange.

"Oh by the way, I told you before I'd be happy to golf with you if carry your own bag," fired Biden. "Think you can do it?"

"That's the biggest lie that he's a 6 handicap of all," Trump fired back.

"I was an eight handicap," said Biden.

"I've seen your swing, I know your swing," Trump returned.

Trump finished the exchange: "Let's not act like children!"
