Trump makes wild boast at debate with Biden: 'I have the biggest heart on this stage'

CBS/screen grab

Former President Donald Trump, who has said he would conduct mass deportations if elected, claimed in a debate with President Joe Biden that he had the "biggest heart on this stage."

Trump made the assertion after debate moderator Dana Bash asked Trump if he would do anything to combat the climate crisis.

"The Paris accord was going to cost us a trillion dollars and China nothing and Russia nothing and India nothing," Trump replied. "And I ended it because I didn't want to waste that money because they treat us horribly."

The former president suddenly veered to talk about immigration.

"What he's doing is destroying all of our medical programs because the migrants coming in, they want everybody," he opined. "And look, I have the... I have the biggest heart on the stage, I guarantee you that."

"And I want to take care of people," Trump added. "But we're destroying our country."

Biden disagreed.

"The idea that he claims that he has the biggest heart up here and he's really concerned about about pollution and about climate," he remarked. "I've not seen any indication of that."
