Report: Chelsea are offering Trevoh Chalobah in a swap deal for ‘very calm’ £70m player

Reports have stated that Chelsea are prepared to part ways with one of their academy graduates this summer in order to get one deal over the line.

Trevoh Chalobah has seemingly been available for a deal pretty much ever since the new owners came in, however he has continued to defy his expected exit for some time now.

This eventually resulted in him becoming one of the most important players in the last few weeks of last season, as the Blues pushed for a place in Europe under Mauricio Pochettino.

Despite seeming to be undroppable in the final weeks of the campaign, the narrative has not changed that they are prepared to part ways for the right price this summer.

When it comes to potential central defensive replacements, one player who has cropped up near the top of the list is Nottingham Forest star Murillo.

Chelsea offering Chalobah in exchange for Murillo

Described as ‘very calm’ by Jamie Redknapp, he has proven to be one of the more promising defenders in the Premier League last season.

With Chelsea now reportedly interested in a deal, the Guardian have claimed that they are prepared to offer Chalobah in exchange for a deal, with the Brazilian valued at £70m.

Forest previously made an effort to sign the defender from Stamford Bridge, however it seemed that the Englishman was only keen on a move to a side playing in Europe.

The fact that Murillo stars more on the left side of defence could be one thing that throws the deal into a little bit of doubt.

The Blues already have Levi Colwill and Benoit Badiashile who predominantly play on that side. The former is seen as absolutely untouchable and a potential future captain in West London, while there are actually a number of admirers of the Frenchman despite the fact he has not enjoyed the best start to life at Stamford Bridge.
