Fabrizio Romano has just shared some good news for Arsenal this evening

Arsenal are likely to be busy over the coming weeks as Mikel Arteta and Edu look to bolster the squad’s ranks.

With the transfer window in full swing, the Gunners are yet to make a move, but plenty of top talents have been linked with a switch to N5.

Arsenal don’t necessarily need to move quickly this month amid the PSR scramble which has impacted on a lot of other clubs.

The Gunners, along with West Ham, Liverpool and Wolves, run to a financial year ending 31 May rather than 30 June.

However, this does not mean Arsenal don’t stand to benefit from other Premier League clubs conducting business this month.

Indeed, Fabrizio Romano has now reported that the Gunners are set for a financial windfall relating to the sale of one of their former players.

Arsenal set to receive money from Omari Hutchinson deal

The player in question is Omari Hutchinson, who came through the ranks at Arsenal before joining Chelsea in 2022.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Ipswich and helped them to Premier League promotion by finishing second in the Championship.

Hutchinson played a big part in their promotion push, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 44 second-tier appearances

Now, Romano has reported on X that the Blues will be selling Hutchinson to the Tractor Boys for £22million including add-ons.

The transfer insider then reported that Arsenal will also be receiving money from the Hale End graduate’s switch to Suffolk, as they included a sell-on clause when selling him to Chelsea.

Silver lining for Arsenal as Hutchinson set for regular Premier League game time

Although it was a shame for Arsenal that they couldn’t keep hold of Hutchinson, earning money from the sell-on clause they included in the deal has proven a silver lining.

Hutchinson is clearly a top talent and next season he’s set for regular game time at a Premier League side, at just 20 years of age.

It will be exciting to see how he fares in the top flight and, who knows, if he continues to prosper, he could well be on the move again in the next couple of years.

As for Arsenal, they continue to be linked with many top targets.

For instance, Turkish outlet Aksam has claimed that the Gunners are the team from England who are leading the charge for Turkey international Semih Kilicsoy.
