Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar, in an interview with RTV stated that Slovenia will allocate financial aid to Ukraine for humanitarian needs, amounting to 5 million euros.
The President of Slovenia arrived in Kyiv on a working visit and met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. She announced that her country would provide Ukraine with additional funds for humanitarian aid.
"After all, I came to Mr. Zelenskyy with the news that the Slovenian government has approved an additional 5 million euros specifically for the field of humanitarian aid, and I am happy to convey this news to him personally," said Pirc Musar.
The leader also added that Slovenia provides military assistance to Ukraine, but she is proud of the humanitarian support her country offers. She mentioned visiting Moldova, where Slovenian experts conducted a training program for Ukrainian teachers.
Slovenia's assistance during the war
Slovenia, like other EU countries, has supported Ukraine in the war with Russia. The country has provided several packages of military aid to the Ukrainian army.
According to media reports, Slovenia may also transfer dozens of armored combat vehicles, infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft systems, and other weapons to Ukraine. The new aid package may also include a batch of drones.
Earlier, the President of Slovenia stated that she would sign a security guarantees agreement with Ukraine on June 27, but this did not happen. The country's Prime Minister suggested that it might happen in July.
