LSU pitcher Justin Loer entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Friday night, according to Joe Doyle of FSS Plus. He struck out 30 batters in 24.1 innings of work this year. Loer also figures to be a prospect in the MLB Draft down the road.

Before coming to LSU, Loer spent time with the Xavier Musketeers, where he was a key piece out of their bullpen. He earned All-Big East second team honors this year. The 6-foot-5 lefty pitched in 29 games with Xavier, throwing in 57 innings. Loer finished the year with a 1.89 ERA, .182 batting average against him, and 63 strikeouts, to go along with his 6-2 overall record.
