Is New Jersey one of the most Disney obsessed states?

According to a survey, New Jersey residents rank third in Disney park visits, averaging 3.44 in the last five years.

Disney parks continue to capture the hearts and minds of the young and old worldwide and across the country.

But the theme park tends to draw visitors from some states in the U.S. more than others, according to a new survey.

New Jersey residents ranked third in total Disney park visits, averaging 3.44 visits in the last five years. Pennsylvania took second place with 4.13 average visits in the past five years, and California took the top spot with 4.38 visits in the past five years.

The national average for visits was 1.25 visits throughout the past five years.

Pennsylvania also took the top spot in spending the most annually on Disney trips, spending $3,811 per year, according to the survey.

New Jersey and Pennsylvania also earned high marks for having the most share of “Disney adults” — childless adults who are enthusiastic about visiting Disney — visit the parks.

According to the survey, New Jersey ranked second, with 6.98 out of 10 rating. Pennsylvania ranked first, with 7 out of 10 rating.

And if there’s any more evidence that New Jersey is one of the most Disney-obsessed states, Disney World in Florida has an entire week dedicated to people from New Jersey called “Jersey Week.”

This is because during the first full week in November, the New Jersey Education Association’s teacher convention takes place on November 7-8. Schools are closed Monday, Nov. 4 to Friday, Nov. 8.

Because schools are closed, many families from New Jersey tend to make the pilgrimage down to Florida for the warmer weather and theme parks.

So if you’re from Jersey and enjoy going to Disney, it seems as if you’re in good company!
