'Proud always': Sunderland ace Jobe Bellingham sends birthday message to brother Jude Bellingham

Sunderland ace Jobe Bellingham has sent brother Jude Bellingham a birthday message ahead of England’s Euro 2024 clash vs Slovakia.

Sunderland’s 18-year-old midfielder Jobe Bellingham has recently been linked with a Premier league switch to Crystal Palace, with a fee of £20million wanted for the youngster.

The Black Cats have already rejected a couple of bids from the South London side, with Sunderland’s owners holding out for the fee they want.

Bellingham arrived on Wearside last year after clinching a deal away from Birmingham City for a fee in the region of £3million.

He managed to make an instant impact for Sunderland, scoring twice in his first three appearances.

His brother Jude is also in the headlines ahead of England’s Euro 2024 clash vs Slovakia on Sunday and Jobe has taken time to send the Real Madrid star a birthday message as he turns 21.

Jude is celebrating his 21st birthday the day before England’s match at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen.

Bellingham took to Instagram to wish his brother a happy 21st birthday, writing: “My only brother. Proud always and regardless.”

His brother Jude is part of the England side that will face Slovakia after topping their Euro 2024 group, despite the fact that questions over the performance of individuals were raised.

The Sunderland midfielder is currently in Germany for the ongoing Euros shouting on his brother and the rest of the England squad.

Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham has a high ceiling, but he can forge bright career

Bellingham has continuously been compared to his brother ever since Jude sealed a move to Borussia Dortmund.

As a result, the 18-year-old Sunderland midfielder has been put in the spotlight so early on in his career, but it is something he has handled so well in the early stages of his career.

Many players can crumble when expectations are set dangerously high, which in this case certainly hasn’t happened, with Bellingham being linked to Premier League moves.

Bellingham has the capabilities one day to be playing at an incredibly high level, which is why Crystal Palace have attempted to swoop in early for the midfielder, however he should look to prioritise further game time as part of Sunderland’s squad next season in the Championship.

There have been countless times that have seen Championship players make the step up a season early, one more campaign of Sunderland nurturing their young prodigy and he will undoubtedly be able to make the step up.
