Joshua Kimmich desperate to join one club this summer amid Liverpool interest

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich continues to be linked with a summer transfer window move to Liverpool.

The Germany ace is currently shining for his nation at Euro 2024, with the hosts going strong at the major tournament.

Kimmich is fully focused on events in Germany, with the 29-year-old only going to decide his club future once the tournament has ended.

That means new Liverpool manager Arne Slot could be forced to continue waiting for his first arrival at Anfield.

The publication added, however, that Kimmich is ‘hell-bent’ on a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

The pair worked closely together in Germany at Bayern Munich before the manager moved to the Etihad in 2016.

Liverpool and Manchester City rivalry set to continue

Liverpool fans have had their hearts broken by Manchester City far too often in recent times, with the two clubs becoming fierce rivals on the pitch.

Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp were key figures in that ongoing battle, with their specific head-to-head now brought to an end.

Slot could take over the mantle from the German in that regard, with the rivalry set to get going in the transfer window.

Signing a player with Kimmich’s ability and experience would be massive for Slot, not only in helping him succeed but helping him win over fans immediately.

The Germany star can play at both right-back and in midfield, with that versatility a huge asset in the modern game.

And with his Bayern Munich contract expiring next summer, now is the perfect time to make a move for the talented player.
