Report: When Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is going to have his medical after Chelsea agree deal with Leicester

Chelsea look to be closing in on their next signing.

So far this summer, Chelsea have already signed Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian and Omari Kellyman.

Estevao will not be able to officially link-up with the Blues until next year, but Kellyman could join Adarabioyo in the first team next season.

Chelsea have done quite a bit of early business, then.

However, it does not look like they are going to stop at Kellyman.

Chelsea set to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is set to be Chelsea’s next signing.

According to The Athletic, the Blues have agreed a £30m deal with the Foxes for the 25-year-old’s signature.

The same outlet has also claimed that Dewsbury-Hall will have his medical today.

It is a move that will see the Englishman swiftly reunited with Enzo Maresca, who managed him during his brief spell at the King Power Stadium.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall arrival could spell the end for one Chelsea midfielder

Dewsbury-Hall will join the likes of Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Conor Gallagher as midfield options at Stamford Bridge.

However, the last of the trio already at Chelsea is into the final year of his contract.

If Dewsbury-Hall arrives in west London, which now looks like an inevitability, you would expect Gallagher to be sold.

Dewsbury-Hall was a key player for Maresca at Leicester last season. In total, he made 44 appearances in the Championship.

He was also able to come up with 12 goals and 14 assists, which are really impressive numbers.

However, those numbers obviously did not come in the Premier League and had Chelsea sorted out Gallagher’s contract, there probably would not have been any need for the Leicester man.

It is where Chelsea are with the England international now, though, and it now looks like he could be replaced by Dewsbury-Hall.
