Oklahoma’s class of 2025, as unbelievable as it is to say, is nearing the finish line with 11 prospects set to decide in the coming weeks. We take a look at each of them, the timeline for the decision, and predict where they’ll end up. It’s a busy time for the Sooners and we’re looking at all the names and seeing where Oklahoma should be focusing.
Andrew Babalola
Official Visits: Auburn (May 17), Missouri (May 31), Stanford (June 7), Michigan (June 14), Oklahoma (June 21)
Breakdown: This is one that seems to have a ‘industry idea’ as far as who his leader is – Stanford. But there are several programs – largely Michigan and Oklahoma – that seem to still feel they are in the race. The Sooners have done plenty to impress Babalola and his relationship, and respect for, Bill Bedenbaugh are Oklahoma’s primary calling cards. The Sooners are in this but may be running second to Stanford’s educational opportunity. But with the idea of NIL and NFL pedigree, this feels like one Oklahoma can pull off.

Floyd Boucard
Official Visits: Miami (May 31), USC (June 7), Oklahoma (June 14), Alabama (June 21)
Breakdown: This is one of the battles that is kind of flying under the radar but Todd Bates and the Sooners have made him a real priority for some time now. Oklahoma has flown under the radar a bit but they feel like very strong contenders. Following his USC visit in early June there were some Trojans predictions. However, it feels like that has lost some momentum. It’s tough to be sure of much with Boucard as he’s very savvy about what he will and won’t detail but Oklahoma is a contender here. Still though Alabama is probably the safest bet at the moment.

Michael Fasusi
Official Visits: Missouri (May 31), Texas A&M (June 6), Oklahoma (June 14), Texas (June 21)
Breakdown: The idea that Oklahoma would even be a serious contender would have seemed pretty wild a month ago. But Oklahoma’s official visit really made this interesting for the Sooners, who most believed were running third coming into official visits. This feels like a good old Red River battle and between Texas and Oklahoma it feels very, very tight.

Mark Iheanachor
Official Visits: Arizona State (April 19), Oregon State (May 10), SMU (June 7), Kansas State (June 11), Oklahoma (June 14), Washington (June 21)
Breakdown: Iheanachor was kind of a late emergence on Oklahoma’s board but when they brought him in for an official visit anything seemed possible. His final choice has come down to the Sooners and SMU. It’s not usually a battle Oklahoma would lose but there feels like a possibility of Oklahoma focusing elsewhere. To be clear, it’s a bit muddled but it feels like SMU can pull this out.

Christian Jones
Official Visits: Auburn (June 7), Nebraska (June 14), Oklahoma (June 21)
Breakdown: Jones is a player that is a little harder to be sure of with some thought that this is an old Huskers and Sooners battle. Jones, obviously is well connected to in-state Nebraska. But Oklahoma’s linebacker reputation via Brent Venables is something that has real meaning to Jones.

Cortez Mills
Official Visits: Nebraska (April 26), Clemson (May 31), Florida (June 7), Oklahoma (June 14), LSU (June 21)
Breakdown: Another player that has seen a real rise in interest from the Sooners over the spring. In Mills’s case his attention nationwide really grew throughout the spring. His length and burst out of South Florida are rare traits and he is the kind of player Brent Venables routinely faced off against at Clemson practices in the 2010s. Mills feels like a battle between Venables’s two most recent homes with Oklahoma edging ahead over the past month.

Smith Orogbo
Official Visits: SMU (May 17), Washington (May 31), Texas Tech (June 7), Kansas (June 12), Texas (June 14), Oklahoma (June 21)
Breakdown: Orogbo has listed a final three of Texas, Texas Tech, and Washington with most feeling like the Longhorns and Sooners are the true contenders here. Less than 36 hours from his decision, it’s still a bit up in the air on which direction he’ll lean with both seeming very realistic possibilities. A pick, for the sake of the story, has to be made but neither decision should be surprising.

Kade Pietrzak
Official Visits: Wisconsin (May 31), Oklahoma (June 7), Nebraska (June 14), Kansas State (June 21)
Breakdown: Undoubtedly the mystery man of this class for the Sooners. Pietrzak doesn’t seem to do interviews and has had little to say about his decision process. Oklahoma seems a strong favorite to win here but a late surprise visit to Kansas State gives the Wildcats some reason for belief.

Omarion Robinson
Official Visits: LSU (May 31), Arkansas (June 7), Oregon (June 14), Oklahoma (June 21)
Breakdown: A safety battle in the heartland that feels likely to be coming down to Oklahoma and Oregon? The last time it happened, through some serious twists and turns, it ended up as a win for the Sooners with Peyton Bowen. This race is tight with both sides having plenty of cause for confidence. Arkansas can’t be forgotten but feels less likely than the two out of state powers.

Lamont Rogers
Official Visits: SMU (May 17), Missouri (May 31), Texas A&M (June 6), Texas (June 14), Oklahoma (June 18), Florida State (June 21)
Breakdown: Rogers was a guy that seemed headed elsewhere a few weeks ago but the Sooners have made a big late run and made him a focus of their efforts. Oklahoma has impressed Rogers with their NFL track record as well as competitive work on the NIL side of things. Rogers feels like an Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas A&M battle. The Tigers and Sooners seem most likely to come out on top in this one.

Makhi Williams-Lee
Official Visits: N.C. State (June 7), Oklahoma (June 14), Texas Tech (June 21)
Breakdown: Williams-Lee was something of an under the radar visitor on June 14. Things went well but this feels like a decision that will probably result in a commitment elsewhere. The Sooners could still make a run but this one just feels like focus is somewhere else at the moment.
