Germany's Dominik Koepfer has withdrawn from Wimbledon with a left ankle injury and is replaced in the draw by French lucky loser Luca van Assche.

Koepfer twisted his ankle recently which made him miss this week's tune-up event in Eastbourne. German officials said he tried everything to fit for Wimbledon but lost the race against time.

Van Assche will now take his place in Monday's first-round match against Italian Fabio Fognini.
