Fosun could make Steve Bull’s transfer wish come true as Wolves eye ‘unbelievable’ player - opinion

Steve Bull has made it clear what he wants to see happen at Wolves this summer and now, Fosun can ensure his wish is granted.

Gary O’Neil and Matt Hobbs have had a rapid start to the summer transfer window at Molineux, with the pace not expected to slow.

Already, Wolves have acquired three new faces, with Tommy Doyle signing permanently from Manchester City, Rodrigo Gomes arriving from Braga and Pedro Lima set to be unveiled in the coming days.

It also seems as though O’Neil is finally going to see his transfer wish come true as the Old Gold have moved for Celta Vigo striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, a wish that was shared by Steve Bull.

Wolves links to Wilfried Zaha will please club legend Steve Bull

Bull said that Wolves’ priority this summer is to sign a striker however, it wasn’t the only thing he is hoping for.

The former Wolves talisman admitted that he wants to see Fosun hand O’Neil some added experience to bolster the squad.

In a column for Express and Star, Bull said that his former club ‘missed some older heads’ last season, something that could be solved amid the latest transfer links.

Wolves are reportedly interested in Wilfried Zaha, who according to the Mirror, is set for a Premier League return at a cut price as Galatasaray are ‘ready’ to part ways with the winger.

Having already racked up 305 Premier League appearances, Bull could see O’Neil add some much-needed experience to his squad this summer if the Old Gold are to capture the Ivorian.

Zaha would be a strong signing for Gary O’Neil

The impact that Zaha can have on a squad’s attack needs little explanation, as the 31-year-old consistently dazzled for Crystal Palace over the years in England.

Last season was not so different for the Ivory Coast international in Turkey, as he contributed to 15 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for Galatasaray.

In 305 Premier League appearances, the dynamic winger netted 68 goals and secured 29 assists, hinting at what he could now offer O’Neil’s attack.

During the 2022/23 campaign, Zaha’s last season in the English top flight, the forward even had opposition managers singing his praises, as Brentford boss Thomas Frank dubbed the Wolves target “unbelievable”.

Capable of playing on either flank or centrally, the Ivorian could be a missing piece to O’Neil’s puzzle, particularly when it comes to experience in the XI.

In attack, the Wolves boss could certainly benefit from Zaha’s expertise next season, with Pablo Sarabia standing alone as the only player in the front line with valuable career experience.

Bull stressed that he hopes the Old Gold can acquire some older heads this summer, something that the former Crystal Palace star could offer.
