Ninja’s new Double Stack XL is on sale – but only for a limited time

There’s a limited-time sale on the Double Stack XL, or DoubleStack XL, as it’s known in the US.

The Double Stack XL is the brand’s newest air fryer – and its unique design makes it a good buy for people who can’t find the kitchen counter space for a standard dual-drawer model.

Still, the fact that it’s new, innovative and capacious means that at £269.99/$229.99, it’s the priciest Ninja air fryer model, so you may not have been tempted to buy – yet.

But now is the time to go for it as, for a limited time in the UK, Ninja is offering 20% off the Double Stack if you buy direct from the brand, saving you £53.99.

We tested and reviewed the Double Stack XL and think that it’s one of the best air fryers available.

It has a 9.5-litre/10QT capacity, and its cooking space is more flexible than competing models as (depending on what you’re making) you can cook two layers of food in each basket – the top layer on removable racks.

Ninja suggests putting vegetables below on the crisper plates and fish or chicken on the racks but we had good results during testing with food of all types.

It also features an intuitive and easy-to-use control panel, which lets you cook in one or both drawers, match their cooking temperatures and times (if you want) or sync separate cooking programmes to finish at the same time.

There are six modes to choose from: air fry, roast, max crisp, reheat, bake and dehydrate. This is fewer than some air fryers (there’s no grill or proving setting) but you’ll still be able to cook almost any dry foods in it.

During testing we did find that it doesn’t cook quite as evenly as some other Ninja models. Because of its design, the heat coils and fans are at the back of the drawers, instead of overhead. We found that when making fries or roast potatoes, a good shake-up of the food was needed half way through the cooking time. But there’s no shake alert on the Double Stack, so you’ll need to remember or set a timer on your phone.
