Alan Jackson’s eldest daughter, Mattie, welcomed her first child into the world on June 20 and the country star just shared a photo of the family with the newest addition with fans.
While the initial post came from the new mom, the proud grandfather also took to social media to share the baby news.
“Denise and I are so happy to announce the arrival of our grandson Wesley Alan Smith,” Jackson writes.
This is the couple’s second grandchild, and the comment section of the post was full of love and congratulations.
“Those little bitty things… Congratulations to the whole family,” one fan writes!
Mattie and husband Connor said “I Do”last May.
The country superstar first shared the baby news in February. Posed with his wife Denise, Mattie and Conner, the grandparents held a sign that read “grand baby Number 2.”
“Blessings are overflowing in our growing family! Denise and I are thrilled for our second grandson to arrive in June,” he writes.
“One week ago my life was forever changed,” the new mom writes.
The new mom shared various photos of their little guy, including the first few moments of life as a family of three.
Jackson will have two months of downtime with his new grand baby before heading on the road for his Last Call One More For The Road Tour. His string of shows kicks off Aug. 2 in Boston, ending on May 17 in Milwaukee.
