Chelsea youngster who John Terry really rates is now available for his first ever loan away - journalist

Whatever happens on the pitch for the first team at Chelsea right now, the future no doubt remains as bright as ever.

The Blues have made it their mission since new owner Todd Boehly took over to sign some of the top young players in world football.

Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian are the clear highlight additions, with the former recently finding the net for his country at the Copa America at the age of just 17.

However, there is still plenty of quality coming through at Cobham who are just waiting for their opportunity to impress at the first team level.

One of those players is Leo Castledine, who has been involved in first team training on a number of occasions.

Leo Castledine available for loan

Now, journalist Nizaar Kinsella has taken to Twitter to state that the Blues have made the youngster available for a loan this summer for the first time.

He said: “Chelsea midfielder Leo Castledine is available for his first loan spell. A mid-lower Championship or upper League One move is being targeted. Club unwilling to entertain permanent offers after renewal last December.”

John Terry a massive fan of Castledine

One key figure at the club who is a big fan of the midfielder is John Terry, who now doubt has plenty of experience working with him as part of the academy process at the club.

Castledine has more than made his impact in Premier League 2 and the Under 18 Premier League, and has already made his debut for the first team in the EFL Cup.

His future is no doubt extremely bright though, and a loan away where he can get regular first team minutes is no doubt going to be huge for his development.

Many will be keen for those who are coming through as part of the club’s illustrious academy process to not be forgotten about in the face of their big name signings, and Castledine is certainly one of these who has the potential to do so.
