Church Street in Attleborough closed as teenager is arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill

A town road was closed off and a teenager was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill yesterday.

Police were called to Church Street, in Attleborough, at 4.51pm following reports of a man acting aggressively.

Officers closed off the road whilst they attended the scene with eyewitnesses saying there was a large police presence in the area.

A Norfolk Police spokesperson said: “A man, aged in his late teens, was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, common assault, criminal damage and attempted arson.

“He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.”

The road was reopened again at 5.54pm the same day.
