Popeyes is making some major waves in the fast-food scene as they prep for the release of their Boneless Wings launch in six signature flavors.
As America’s number one meat product, it should come as no surprise that chicken is at the heart of almost every major fast-food restaurant. From the newly teased healthy chicken options at Burger King to the waffle and chicken burger at KFC, Americans can’t get enough of the bird and its many yummy varieties.
Popeyes is changing the game with boneless chicken wings
It’s been a busy summer for Popeyes after they released their summer menu complete with iced teas and a BBQ chicken sandwich. But the Louisiana-born restaurant is not stopping there.
In a press release on Monday, Popeyes issued a statement after identifying over 60,000 scathing social media posts about boneless chicken wings. As it turns out, Americans feel very passionately about their chicken wings.
To celebrate National Fried Chicken Day on July 6, Popeyes has declared that boneless chicken wings are the wings of the future. Get on board, or go hungry.
To tackle this very serious issue, the eatery has offered critics of boneless wings a voucher for six free wings with any purchase. If you’ve always been a believer, then you’ll also get six free wings with a $10 purchase.
They are confident in their plan
While most restaurants would buckle under the pressure and relegate boneless wings to the benches with other forgotten products, Popeyes is not backing down.
“When planning our Boneless Wings launch, we noticed a lot of people have pretty strong opinions about them – and many claim their minds can’t be changed. We’re here to challenge that,” said Jeff Klein, President of Popeyes North America.
“Our Boneless Wings can win over the tastebuds and the keyboards of even the most stubborn Boneless Deniers, and to prove it we’re giving everyone a chance to try them this National Fried Chicken Day.”
Each wing is made from “tender all-white meat chicken breast” before being battered, coated, and fried. Currently, they come in the following flavors: Classic, Honey Lemon Pepper, Signature Hot, Honey BBQ, Sweet ‘N Spicy, Roasted Garlic Parmesan.
