Confused by all the cell phone alerts, robocalls and Nixle dispatches on which roads will be open and closed Thursday for the July 4 holiday events?
An interactive map with all the road closures in Hudson County, related to July 4 activities, was posted to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office’s social media accounts.
The web page allows the user to zoom in on a street and click on the red line that signifies the road closure to find more information regarding that closure.
Many roads that run along the Hudson River waterfront, from Jersey City to the northern tip of North Bergen, will be closed at some point July 4 to accommodate the expected large crowds for the two major fireworks displays — the New York City fireworks in the Hudson River adjacent to Hoboken and Weehawken; and the Jersey City display to the south, adjacent to Exchange Place.
