Labour’s Daniel Zeichner will be hopeful of another term as MP for Cambridge - and his first with a Labour government. Mr Zeichner’s biggest opponent is expected to be Liberal Democrat Cheney Payne.

Liberal Democrat Pippa Heylings will be hoping to take the South Cambridgeshire seat after incumbent Tory MP Anthony Browne switched to the new St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire constituency. Chris Carter-Chapman is hoping to hold the seat for the Tories.

The St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire seat is looking like an interesting battle, particularly between Mr Browne and Liberal Democrat Ian Sollom. They previously went up against each other for the South Cambridgeshire constituency in 2019.

Meanwhile, Conservative Lucy Frazer is facing a tight battle to win the new Ely and East Cambridgeshire constituency, particularly from Liberal Democrat Charlotte Cane, who is deputy opposition leader at East Cambridgeshire District Council.

We’ll have further updates from across Cambridgeshire and nationally, and plenty of opinion and chat throughout the long night. The blog will load below after a short delay
