Mikel Arteta‘s side are yet to make a splash in this summer’s transfer window but it may well be a case of fine tuning his side.

After five years at the helm, Arteta has got this Arsenal side battling at the top of the table with Manchester City.

Arsenal could land cut price deal for attacking target

Naturally, as one of the sides battling for the Premier League title, Arsenal did not have any issues in finding the back of the net last season.

Only City (96) were able to score more goals over the 2023/24 campaign than Arteta’s side (91).

However, no manager will turn away more attacking options in a transfer window with Arsenal potentially in need of stronger squad depth up top with Champions League football to consider once again.

One forward who Arsenal have shown an interest in is Juventus’ Federico Chiesa who will now be enjoying his summer after Italy’s elimination from Euro 2024.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus are now open to the notion of losing the 26-year-old winger this summer.

And the Italian may even be made available for as little as €25m (£21m) including add-ons due to his contractual situation.

Chiesa now has just one year remaining on his deal in Turin and is not believed to be part of the plans of new manager Thiago Motta.

Federico Chiesa could offer Arsenal versatile attacking threat

The Italian has shown during his time at Juventus that he is capable of playing across the frontline providing a real versatile option.

And this is something which could really add to the Arsenal squad for the upcoming campaign with a solid number of options already available for Arteta.

With the likes of Bukayo Saka nailing down his spot in the starting XI, a versatile option like Chiesa could prove perfect for Arteta being able to slot into the side across a number of different roles.

And at just £21m, he will surely be an attractive prospect having been hailed “world-class” by former Italy defender Alessandro Pierini.
