Content creators can finally show off Ashes of Creation with their own gameplay.
After much anticipation, Intrepid Studios is lifting the visual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that Alpha-1 stage testers are currently under. Up until now, the only images and videos we had of Ashes of Creation came from Intrepid themselves. While it's still been exciting to see, the community has been waiting to see content creators stream the game and make original videos on it to see how the game really is right now.
However, it's important to note that because the upcoming tests are Alpha tests, expectations shouldn't be too high. The game may be rough and buggy at this point in some areas. That said, don't be discouraged if things aren't fantastic at this point. The game is still in early development, so keep in mind that this is still a test and you can cut Intrepid some slack!
Ashes of Creation release date for Alpha-1 NDA drop
From July 9-11, the Alpha-1 Preview Weekend will give people the chance to watch content creators experience the game as it is. Though it is only three days long, it should be very helpful for making people excited for Ashes of Creation.
Don't fret though, more content is on the way! Three days after the Preview Weekend, on July 14, the full Alpha-1 non-NDA test will commence. For about a month, the tests will continue and content creators will be free to stream and make videos with their own gameplay. This test is set to finish on August 13.
After this, there aren't set dates for additional Alpha tests or Beta tests yet. Depending on how these upcoming tests go, news on those tests may come sooner or later.
Content creators to watch
If you're looking forward to seeing the game, but aren't sure who to watch, we have a few recommendations for you. First off, ESTNN will be looking to get an Alpha pass, but either way, we'll have Alpha-1 content releasing in the coming weeks. So make sure to stay tuned here! But there are many streamers and YouTubers that deserve the recognition and will provide great footage.
Popular WoW streamer Asmongold has expressed great interest in Ashes of Creation. He probably won't focus his content on it though, but he may produce some content on his YouTube and Twitch. Another larger creator is TheLazyPeon, who has been hype about Ashes of Creation for a while now. He covers a lot of MMO games but will likely have some videos come out on his YouTube channel within the coming weeks.
Beyond these two, there are a number of smaller content creators focused solely on Ashes of Creation. The ones listed here are very knowledgeable about the game and dedicated to the Alpha tests. All of them are fantastic sources to watch as the game develops further!
Of course, as more people learn about the game, more people are bound to hop aboard. It's only upward from here!
