The finals went down quickly as Na’Vi did not leave any chances for G2 to come back in the series. The first match on Dust 2 saw Na’Vi take an early lead on the T-side. However, G2 played well to close the gap. After switching sides, G2 could not execute their game plan and lost 11-16.
The second match on Mirage was a close one, with Na’Vi pulling ahead in the opening few rounds. G2 slowly made their way into the game, trailing by one round in the first half. The second half was back-and-forth action, but it was Na’Vi who came on top with a score of 14-16 in their favor.
The third game on Nuke saw both teams battling equally, with G2 having the CT-side advantage in the first half. However, Na’Vi took control of the game after switching sides and G2 lost 13-16.
Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev was the MVP of the tournament with an average rating of 1.51 and 0.96 kills per round.
The CIS stars win $400,000, 1800 Pro Tour and 3200 BLAST Premier points with their victory. This was Na’Vi’s second title in 2021 and third counting the 2020 IEM Katowice trophy. The team's recent feat has propelled them to first place on Intel Grand Slam (IGS) Season 3 rankings, giving them a chance to win IGS Season 3.
