Per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Astros traded for Yimi Garcia of the Miami Marlins.

Garcia, 30, has been very good for the Marlins over the last two seasons as their closer. Through 36.1 innings this season, he has struck out 35 and saved 15 games with a 1.21 WHIP.

The Marlins have been wheeling and dealing today after trading Starling Marte to the Oakland Athletics for former top prospect Jesus Luzardo.

In return for Garcia, Miami acquired 24-year-old outfielder Bryan De La Cruz who was in Triple-A and having a career year. This season, he has hit .324/.362/.518 with an .880 OPS along with 12 home runs and 50 RBI. He will provide depth to a crowded Miami outfield. Houston also sent reliever Austin Pruitt, who was recently designated for assignment, to the Marlins.

Both the Astros and Marlins will likely make more moves ahead of Friday’s deadline.
