LCS : New Players At Fly Quest

For the ninth and final week of the LCS Summer Split, FlyQuest has changed its lineup, bringing back Josedeodo and Palafox.

Second to last stage of the tournament

Like the LEC, the North American LCS league will play the last week of the regular season this weekend, with franchises playing the final three games of the group stage before heading to the next stage of the tournament: the LCS Championship. There is only one spot left for the 2021 Summer Split playoffs, only 1 spot, but still three teams in the running; FlyQuest, Golden Guardians and Counter Logic Gaming must win their last games or else they will have to leave for vacation sooner than expected. Josedeodo and Palafox recall

To maximize their chances of qualifying, FlyQuest decided to change some of their starting five for the 9th and final week of the league. Jungler Brandon Joel "Josedeodo" Villegas and midlaner Cristian "Palafox" Palafox will be making their return to the lineup alongside toplaner Kumo, botlaner Tomo and support Diamond. While the team finds itself in a better position than these main competitors to take the final playoff spot, this shakeup could be just what they need to secure some valuable wins this weekend.

Back on July 7, after the announcement of Licrorice's departure for Golden Guardians, FlyQuest had announced major changes to their five-man roster for Week 6 of the LCS Summer Split, with the team replacing their entire main roster and fielding all 5 players from their academic team. This change had a positive effect in the first few games, recording a 4 game winning streak in the league, but the team quickly fell back into its ways and has been losing since week 7 of the competition. With the timing being perfect, FlyQuest will have to face this weekend its two main competitors for the playoff qualification, Golden Guardians and CLG.

Towards the World Championships

Will Fly Quest make it to the World Championships ? If so, with which players ? Let's also keep a close eye on what's happening in the LFL and LEC leagues to make predictions. As a reminder, the League of Legend World Championship brings together the best teams from the 12 regional leagues in an ultimate competition to win the Summoner's Cup. The event changes regions each year, with the various phases of the tournament taking place in major cities of the host region. It is now known which cities will host the event: Shanghai, Qingdao, Wuhan, Chengdu and Shenzhen, depending on the phases of the championship that will be announced later. It is not yet known whether or not the 2021 World Cup will be able to host spectators. Last year's World Cup final at the SAIC Motor Pudong Arena had 6,312 spectators chosen from the 3,205,750 fans who applied, which was only possible if they were level 30 or higher in the game. In 2022, the World Cup will be held in North America.
