Get ready for another Marvel Comics x Fortnite collaboration.
Fortnite Battle Royale developer Epic Games has made their intentions to grow an expansive metaverse quite clear at this stage in the game’s history. Since 2017, players have witnessed countless iconic characters from other video games and movies join the Fortnite roster. Many of those are recognizable heroes and villains from the Marvel Comics universe.
The Fortnite x Marvel collaboration began with the Thanos Limited Time Mode (LTM) back in 2018. Fast-forward three years and Epic has hosted an entire Marvel-centric season in Chapter 2 - Season 4 and welcomed many superheroes and villains such as Venom, Groot, Thor, Wolverine and more into the Fortnite universe.
Now, another Marvel character throws herself into the mix. Gamora of “Guardians of the Galaxy” fame will become the latest addition to the Fortnite x Marvel crossover.

Fortnite’s official Twitter account teased a comic panel image of Gamora early this morning. The tweet depicts the green-skinned character flying through space. She receives a distress signal pointing toward an alien threat. The connection is obvious, considering Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 7’s alien invasion theme. Several leakers, including ShiinaBR, reacted to the content, stating in a tweet, “FORTNITE HAS TEASED A NEW GAMORA OUTFIT!! She'll most likely be in the shop together with Star-Lord!”

Soon after the teaser, Fortnite’s Twitter account dropped the exciting news, including a screenshot of Gamora’s in-game appearance. Additionally, we learned that she will arrive in the Item Shop August 14 at 8 PM ET alongside Star-Lord. Star-Lord is Gamora’s love interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he has not resurfaced in the Item Shop since May 6, 2019.
