ASTRO Gaming Ends Call of Duty League Sponsorship

The Call of Duty League loses another sponsor ahead of 2021 Champs.

Following the recent Activision Blizzard lawsuit, sponsors have been eager to distance themselves from Activision products and services. Long-time sponsors of Call of Duty esports, ASTRO Gaming is the latest to leave. They've officially terminated their sponsorship of the CDL ahead of the biggest event of the year.

ASTRO Gaming was the Official Headset Sponsor of the COD League. Without their sponsorship, we suspect that no ASTRO headsets will be in use at the Championship Weekend. The sponsorship also previously included CDL branded ASTRO headsets, which have since been removed from their site.

ASTRO also held multiple broadcast segments, including the ASTRO Gaming Listen In, along with being the presenting sponsor of the MVP Award. The Call of Duty League enters the Championship Weekend on Thursday, August 18. The biggest event of the year will be without their biggest sponsor ASTRO after T-Mobile also distanced themselves as well a few weeks back.
