Royal staffers took back their bullying accusations lodged against Meghan Markle, according to the new paperback edition of Finding Freedom: Harry And Meghan And The Making Of A Modern Royal Family.
The updated version of the New York Times bestsellerwas released on Tuesday, August 31, with a new epilogue where the authors dished out even more secrets about Meghan and Prince Harry's journey since stepping away from royal life.
Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie originally published the unofficial biography in August 2020, but they have since revised it to add in a new jaw-dropping section covering all of the bombshell events since Megxit.
One of the most shocking bombshells in the epilogue revealed that two royal staffers asked to take back the complaints they previously made against the Suits actress.
Meghan was reportedly accused of bullying in October 2018. Jason Knauf, the royal couple's secretary at the time filed a complaint at Kensington Palace that the Duchess "drove two personal assistants out of the household and was undermining the confidence of a third staff member."
Duran and Scobie claim in their new epilogue that "sources confirmed that upon discovery of Jason [Knauf]'s email, two of the individuals mentioned in the email asked for any allegations made to HR about their experiences with Meghan to be rescinded."
The book was not written in conjunction with Meghan or Harry, but the authors claim that they received intel from sources close to the royal couple, per Mirror.
Other topics discussed in the book include the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the death and funeral of Prince Phillip, and the rocky relationship between Harry and Prince William.
In the latest installment of Finding Freedom, the authors claim that Queen Elizabeth has not taken “full ownership” of the allegations that the couple made during their interview, according to friends of the Queen.
During the March interview, the couple revealed that Meghan had previously been “suicidal” and that there were concerns at Buckingham Palace over the color of their son Archie’s skin.
Durand and Scobie also spilled that Prince William — who is allegedly done addressing the claims made in the Oprah special — was “furious” with Meghan and Harry for airing out the family’s dirty laundry.
Another major reveal in the new book claimed Oprah apparently only had one weekend to prepare for the interview. The authors also claimed that Harry and Meghan “felt some nerves” before speaking without the “shackles” of the institution.

The extra pages also allege that the royals were “quietly pleased” that Meghan — who was pregnant with the couple’s daughter, Lilibet, at the time – was unable to attend Prince Phillip’s funeral.
The authors made the claim that members of the royal family were relieved that Meghan wouldn’t be in attendance because they “didn’t want a circus” or “a spectacle.”
It was also revealed in the new chapter that the Palace is still “appearing to actively undermine” the Sussexes.
The epilogue also insists that Meghan and Harry apparently have “no regrets” about their decision to leave the firm and reside in the U.S.
