Canadian Joins DarkZero Esports Rainbow Six Siege

Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski, arguably one of the best Rainbow Six Siege esports players, has announced his signing to DarkZero Esports. On September 1, the pro posted a video to his Twitter, where he revealed he’d signed a two-year contract with the organization.

Canadian’s aesthetically formatted announcement video began with a brief recap of his retirement, which was evidently brought on by burnout. After considering teams for his return, he concluded that DarkZero Esports had the clearest and most appealing passions for “learning, improving, and winning.”

In the DarkZero announcement, it was clarified that Canadian would replace Brandon “BC” Carr, who will return to a coaching role. Additionally, Canadian, the team’s immediate in-game leader, says he will first compete for DZ in Stage 3 of the NAL.

Canadian won the first-ever Six Invitational in 2017 as part of Continuum, eventually becoming Evil Geniuses. With EG, he continuously fell short of reclaiming the SI title. In late 2019, he made the move to Spacestation Gaming, where he successfully secured a second career SI victory in 2020.

DarkZero Esports

DarkZero, founded in late 2018, has not won a Six Invitational title but has appeared at the event two years in a row. As reflected in Canadian’s own sentiments, DarkZero Esports boasts an emphasis on player well-being and fulfillment. The org’s About Us page even lists “Put Players First” as one of three pillars for its “DZ Method.” Furthermore, its players also have access to personal trainers, nutritional guidance, meditation coaches, and a financial advisor.

Canadian retired in March, only to return to SSG for the Six Invitational 2021, in which his squad was quickly eliminated. Now, the legend will join fellow North American org DarkZero, in hopes of claiming SI 2022 alongside Hyper, njr, Panbazou, and Ecl9pse.
