For its entry into Rocket League esports, WePlay Holding will be organizing the WePlay Esports Invitational, with a prize pool of $100 thousand.
Despite being the organizer’s first Rocket League event, it has come through the front door. WePlay Esports Invitational is a Psyonix-supported tournament and part of the RLCS Season 11.
WePlay Esports Invitational
This event, which starts on September 16, includes 16 of the best Rocket League esports teams. They are split into two groups, with regions as the decisive factors. Eight teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will fight in their group while the other North American squads play amongst each other. These two groups are sharing the same format: a best-of-seven double-elimination bracket.

“I am sure that the WePlay Esports Invitational Featuring Rocket League will pleasantly surprise the fans of the game with what our team has in store for the event.” said WePlay Esports’ Head of Esports Eugen Luchianenco.
WePlay Holding plans to use Arena Kyiv to take care of the broadcast. After three intense days of competition, the Rocket League Esports Invitational finals take place on September 19. Even though traveling restrictions are getting easier in many countries, teams will still be participating online.
Invited Rocket League Teams
Some of the most hyped organizations involved in Rocket League already received an invite. The likes of Guild Esports, Dignitas, G2 Esports, FaZe Clan, Team Envy, and Team Vitality confirmed their participation. Vodafone Giants, NRG, Susquehanna Soniqs, Shopify Rebellion, Spacestation Gaming, Team BDS, Sandrock Gaming, Rogue, Semper Esports, and Karmine Corp fill the remaining slots.

The timing is also what makes this event great. Almost all participating teams made moves during the offseason. This is precisely why they will be eager to perform with their new rosters.
“We’ve organised many memorable major events so far at WePlay Esports, and we finally have a chance to do another in Rocket League,” said WePlay Esports’ Lead Esports Manager Anton Tokarev.
A few weeks ago, Psyonix revealed their new plans for Rocket League esports. Because they have more opportunities to participate, players are giving Rocket League a solid chance. As a result, esports organizers are not looking at the game the same. The most successful organizations all have a team and organizers like WePlay Holding want a part of it.
