The source noted the former radio host remains hospitalized, which threatens to push back the already-delayed The Wendy Williams Show’s season premiere once again, reported The Sun.

The popular daytime talk show was originally scheduled to kick off its 13th season on Monday, September 20, the show’s Instagram account said as they released a statement revealing, “Wendy is dealing with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations.”

Days later, the show’s premiere was pushed back again after she contracted coronavirus. “While continuing her health evaluations, Wendy has tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19,” a statement read via her show’s Instagram account on Wednesday, September 15.

The statement continued: “To allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure that our production abides by all SAG/AFTRA and DGA Covid protocols, we expect to begin the 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, October 4,” adding, “In the meantime, repeats will be scheduled.”

An employee spilled that leading up to her hospitalization “Wendy was drinking every day, even while filming the show,” noting that some could smell the liquor on her.

Another annoyed show staffer vented the talk show host is surrounded by “enablers” who allow her to do what she wants and won’t tell her to stop and rest so she can get well and return to her show.

“They don’t want to lose their job,” the source dished, adding: “No one can tell her no. People are afraid to speak up.”
