A fresh start!
Single Kelly Clarkson is continuing her selling spree after unloading her Tennessee compound earlier this year.
The American Idol winner recently also ditched her fabulous Encino, Calif. farmhouse. The sale brought in a cool $8.2 million for the singer, although she took a slight loss as she paid $8.5 million for the humble abode in 2018.
Clarkson recently shelled out $5.4 million for a smaller home in Toluca Lake, California for her and her two children: daughter River Rose, 7, and son Remington Alexander, 5, whom she shares with estranged ex, Brandon Blackstock.
The 39-year-old talk show host’s house swap comes as she is embroiled in a messy divorce from her husband of seven years.
Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020 and she was awarded custody of their two kids last November. A judge ordered the “Breakaway” songstress to cough up $150,000 per month in spousal support to her estranged ex, in addition to $45,601 per month for the former couple’s two children.
Despite a few bumps in the road for the singer, Clarkson is riding high as a new season of The Voice has started and she is gearing up to regain her chokehold on Christmas with a new holiday album.
In teaser lyrics leaked to Instagram, she seemingly disses her ex in a new song. “And I'm gonna shop too much and dance in the show,” she wrote on Monday, September 20. “Drink just enough to let us go. Christmas isn’t canceled, just you.”
