Machine Gun Kelly Will Not Face Criminal Charges For Assault Allegations, Still Has To Fight Civil Lawsuit

Machine Gun Kellyisn’t off the hook just yet.

The “Bloody Valentine” singer, who was reportedly involved in a scuffle with a parking lot attendant in August, will not face criminal assault and battery charges — but he will still have to fight the civil lawsuit filed against him.

According to reports from TMZ, the 31-year-old is criminally in the clear after the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office declined to charge the musician due to a lack of evidence.

However, the Dirt actor will still have to deal with the lawsuit filed by John Martin Tilli who alleged that Kelly and his production team aggressively surrounded and pushed him during a confrontation.

As OK! previously reported, Tilli sued Kelly for assault, battery, negligence, and elder abuse, despite the fact that he is only 49 years old.

Tilli claimed in the suit that Kelly and his production crew were filming for his movie Good Mourning With A U in the parking lot without permission to do so.

However, when Tilli confronted him about having a permit and asked him to leave, he accused the singer and his team of getting “aggressive” and pushing him around.

Tilli, who was described as “a very sensitive, soft-spoken, gentle, quiet person” in the lawsuit, also claimed that “he literally appeared as if he was going to cry through the day” following the incident.

Sources close to Kelly, who is dating Transformers actress Megan Fox, told the press at the time that the altercation Tilli described never actually happened.

One source insisted that the story was fabricated, and that despite yelling at Tilli, Kelly never laid a hand on him.

The lawsuit came just weeks before Kelly was involved in an unplanned brawl with Connor McGregorduring MTV’s 2021 Video Music Awards.

Kelly and the UFC fighter reportedly “got into a fight at the top of the red carpet” the night of the event and “had to be pulled apart.”

“They scuffled then it settled down and Conor went for him again,” OK! learned at the time. Photographers on the scene were apparently concerned about the incident and said “they were going to boycott Conor because they were worried MGK and Megan wouldn’t walk.”

While some witnesses claimed that McGregor started the fight, he told the press later that night that he wouldn’t call the interaction a fight, as he only takes on “real” fighters.
