NeNe Leakes Breaks Down & Admits She Wishes Husband Gregg Didn't Die So She Wouldn't Have To Deal With The Public

NeNe Leakes is trying to mourn the tragic death of her husband Gregg, but is finding it hard to do so with the public constantly prying into her life.

On Thursday, October 28, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum addressed her 3.9 million Instagram followers to discuss frequent questions she's been asked regarding Gregg's passing and slam one alleged stalker who won't leave her alone.

Going make-up free with tears brimming her eyes, Nene began, via her Instagram Story: "I just had to jump on here to say a couple things." Right off the bat, she pointed out that "there are some people in the world who live in negativity, consistently, throughout their entire life."

"And then there's sometimes in life where you have people who are stalkers who actually stalk your life," NeNe continued, remaining coy about who her alleged stalker could be.

Before going on to reveal who sent their condolences after Gregg died, she praised "everyone that reached out to me during the time that Gregg was sick and during the time he was crossing over." (NeNe's late husband lost his fight to colon cancer in September at age 66.)

"I am so grateful," she declared of those who have been there for her during such a turbulent time in her life. "I am so grateful for everyone and everything."

The Glee alum then addressed questions she was asked while appearing on Atlanta's "V103" on Wednesday, October 27. Noting, "Obviously any show that I do, they're gonna ask me about The Real Housewives of Atlanta," NeNe said she has "nothing negative to say" about her time on the show. (Nene was an OG on the reality show before she exited after Season 12.)

Recalling when she was asked if the Bravo cast and franchise sent her gifts following her husband's passing, she said — pointing out that she's answered this question a million times — "Every single person that I can think of, maybe one or two didn’t, the entire franchise reached out. The Black girls and the White girls."

She then addressed another frequent question she's asked, whether former costar Cynthia Bailey attended Gregg's repass, telling her followers: "No she didn't." Nene candidly said it didn't bother her — but seemed to bother the public because they continue to ask about Bailey's absence.

"[Cynthia] showed up at the lounge. We had an amazing time," the widow explained. "It was awkward for about ten minutes, then we had a great time. We laughed, we partied, we had a ball." OK! reported NeNe hosted a party celebrating Gregg's life at The Linnethia Lounge in Duluth, Ga., days after he died.

Talking about her time on the show once again, Nene said: "We had such a positive fun show, and I never spoke negative of anyone. And my stalker is consistently speaking of me, but I'm telling you, I'm not the one."

"You need to stop your stuff because you know I am not the one," the I Dream of NeNe star reiterated, directly speaking to her alleged stalker. "I'm over here trying to live in a positive light. I'm asking you to leave me alone."

NeNe seemed to be insinuating her stalker is upset with alleged claims she made about the show or her former costars. "Please leave me alone," she emotionally begged. "I'm asking you that."

"All of you guys, please leave me alone," NeNe said to her fans with tears in her eyes. "I wish my husband had not died. I would not be dealing with any of this."

"Please leave me the f**k alone," she concluded.
