Nothing can keep this mama away! Kathryn Denniswas beaming as she celebrated Halloween with her kids just months after her devastating custody loss.
Earlier this year, a judge awarded Dennis’ estranged ex husband Thomas Ravenel temporary sole custody of their two children: Kensie, 6, and Saint, 5.
While the custody arrangement has been a difficult adjustment for the Southern Charm star, she appeared to be happier than ever while celebrating spooky season over the weekend.
On Sunday, October 31, Dennis posted a series of photos cuddling up to her little ones while in costume before heading out for some trick-or-treating.
The post included a sweet photo of the reality star in her Pikachu costume alongside her with her boy, who was dressed as a dinosaur. The second post was a selfie with her daughter, who went as a wizard for the night, followed by a big group photo with some friends.
“I'm officially in the candy 😅🍬,” she wrote in the caption on her ‘gram. “Happy Halloween from pikachu, a dinosaur and a wizard 🎃.”
The doting mama has recently been squeezing in quality time with her little ones, as she posted another series of tender photos over the weekend.
On Saturday, October 30, the TV personality shared smiling snaps with her youngsters climbing on her back and making silly faces.
“Hoping everyone has a fun and safe Halloween weekend,” she wrote on the post.
Dennis may have been all smiles while celebrating fall festivities with her family — but things haven’t always been so peachy.
Back in September, the mom-of-two got candid about the reality of her nasty custody battle, revealing that she was missing her babies after losing custody.
“I try to keep from losing the rest of me,” she wrote in a tearful snap at the time.
As OK! previously reported, Dennis has been going through custody proceedings with Ravenel since they split in 2016.
Dennis originally lost custody of her children following her struggle with substance abuse, but she eventually gained back 50/50 custody until Ravenel was granted full custody earlier this year.
“It is exhausting to constantly defend yourself from someone who is trying to change reality — it can even make you question what you know happened, or what is true,” she wrote in an August post. “It can be exhausting to live two lives: one for your children and for the world (everything is fine) and the other, where you are beaten down by the family court system. We see you and we stand with you. You are not alone.”
