MOPAR '22 DODGE DURANGO IS THE RAREST OF THEM ALL

Mopar has been busy making several concepts for SEMA 2021; however, the Mopar ’22 Durango is not just a concept. But it’s about as rare as one. With production capped at a scant 250 units, it’s rarer than most hypercars, including the Bugatti Chiron and Ferrari Monza. Yet, most would never know it. Even the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat saw a production volume of 3,000 units. This makes the Mopar ’22 Durango the rarest Dodge SUV of them all. Let’s take a closer look….

Mopar ’22 Dodge Durango Exterior

Available exclusively on the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T AWD with the Plus Group and Tow N Go Package. The Mopar ’22 Durango is powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine rated at 360 horsepower and is paired to the standard TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. The Tow N Go Package provides 8,700 pounds of towing capability.

In addition, the vehicle’s top speed has been increased to 145 mph with Track, Sport, Snow, and Tow drive modes. A retuned SRT-performance exhaust gives the Mopar ’22 Durango an iconic Dodge exhaust rumble. At the same time, Mopar has also installed retuned SRT active noise cancellation, an electronic limited-slip differential, and SRT active damping suspension.

The vehicle rides on 20-by-10-inch “Lights Out” wheels which house Pirelli tires and provide a menacing look. A Mopar 1-inch lowering kit improves handling and enables tighter cornering and quicker response. The vehicle is available in DB Black, or White Knuckle, which features an offset asymmetrical Mopar Blue stripe that runs on the driver’s side from the front fascia to the rear fascia, as well as a Mopar Blue “Mopar” front grille badge and Mopar Blue “Brembo” branded brake calipers. In addition, each buyer of the Mopar ’22 Durango will receive an owner kit that features a custom-made, personalized metal certificate of authenticity with a serialized vehicle-build number and a rendering of the vehicle by the Mopar Design team.

Mopar ’22 Durango Interior

The inside of the Mopar ’22 Durango features exclusive components, including a Mopar ’22 instrument-panel badge with a serialized build number, Leather and suede front seats which wear a two-tone Mopar logo embroidered into the backs, Mopar blue accent stitching in the seats, instrument panel, center console, and doors. Mopar pedal kit and Mopar all-weather floor mats finish up the interior.

Dealer orders for the Mopar ’22 Durango will be available in the first quarter of 2022, with vehicles slated to arrive in select Dodge dealerships in the U.S. and Canada in Summer 2022. Production is limited to 250 units, with 200 vehicles going to the U.S. market and 50 to the Canadian market. The suggested retail price for U.S. manufacturers for the Mopar ’22 Special Edition Package is $3,995. Compared to what the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat was priced from, this Moparized SUV is a collector’s bargain.
