CADILLAC V-SERIES BLACKWINGS HAVE TWO DOZEN EASTER EGGS FOR CUSTOMERS TO FIND

The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing are the most track-capable vehicles ever from the 119-year-old iconic American brand. And it’s unlikely we’ll see anything quite like them in the future, as GM swallows the blue pill and goes all in on electrification. Even so, engineers, customers, and critics alike seem to agree overall that these vehicles are special. So as a small way to celebrate the design and engineering that went into the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing, Cadillac designers have peppered the cars with little easter eggs that will keep their owners looking around for a while.

To pay homage to the crucial sites for the development of the vehicles – such as the GM Milford Proving Grounds, and Warren Technical Center – Cadillac Blackwing designers and engineers found a way to add laser-etched maps of each location onto the two paddle shifter covers on manual-transmission models, one on each side But there are many more little nuggets on these cars. Some two dozen to be exact, says Cadillac.

Other easter eggs on the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing include the V-Series logo and its unique Mondrian pattern incorporated on the manual shift knob or the Blackwing emblem found in a pocket of each 19-inch Tech Bronze wheel. Some have been hidden in more challenging locations to spot, like the Mondrian pattern on the underwing of the vehicle or the V-Series logo on the air strakes that come with the optional Carbon Fiber 1 package.

First 250 Builds To Be Collector Vehicles

The first 250 production builds of each model of the Cadillac V-Series Blackwing sports cars are set to be collector series vehicles commemorated to the people that made them with two collector plates on the sills and B-pillars. Each sill plate features the signature from a member of the Cadillac V-Series team. Meanwhile, the collector plates found on the B-pillar correspond to each car’s serialized Performance Steering Wheel. Lastly, the hand-built supercharged LT4 V8 engine of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing features a signed plaque from the master builder.

The 2022 CT4-V Blackwing has limited availability and starts at $59,990, with the fully configured model reaching $87,775. The CT5-V Blackwing starts at $84,990, while the fully configured model is $125,980. There are still more unmentioned easter eggs to be found on the vehicles, and it’s up to the owners to try and find them all.

And, sorry coupe fans, but these super Cadillacs will come in sedan flavor only.
