JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON 392 IS AVAILABLE IN THE UK, BUT IT CERTAINLY ISN'T CHEAP

Starting at $74,995, the 470 horsepower Wrangler Rubicon 392 is by no means a cheap Jeep, and has been largely regulated to the US market and other petro-friendly nations, leaving out the entirely of the eco-radical European Union by official measure. However, the London-based Clive Sutton dealership has just started accepting orders in the UK for a price that is almost double what it costs in the US.

According to CarScoops, the typical Jeep Wrangler starts at £48,850 ($65,735 USD) in the UK, while the fully specced Wrangler 1941 Edition costs £58,050 ($78,117 USD). Finally, the selling price for the Brits if they wish to purchase the Wrangler Rubicon 392 comes in at £105,000 ($141,131 USD). With Jeep not officially importing this variant to the UK market, the vehicle remains left-hand-drive. Another potential reason for the high markup price is that the dealership handles all shipping and importing arrangements. They also offer a two-year or 30,000-mile warranty on the vehicle.

The Rubicon 392 has a potent 6.4L Apache Hemi V8, producing 470 horsepower (351 kW / 477 PS) and 470 lb-ft of torque (637 Nm). The Jeep can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and has a quarter-mile time of 13 seconds. Topping everything off, the Wrangler Rubicon 392 is fitted with 33-inch BFGoodrich A/T tires and receives a 2-inch lift. All of this combined makes for one of the world’s most capable off-road vehicles on the market. And definitely the most powerful SUV with factory removable doors and a live front axle. But wait, there’s more.

Go beyond the standard Rubicon 392 with the mighty Xtreme Recon Package which adds 35 inch tires, giving it credentials as the ultimate off-road factory with class-leading V8 power, and Ford Bronco Sasquatch rivaling rubbers. For this upgrade, you’re looking at roughly $4,000 USD on top of the $74k+ price tag.
