2022 FORD BRONCO RAPTOR HAS MENACING YELLOW EYES, DWARFS THE BASE MODEL

The hype for the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor has grown exponentially since before Broncos were shipped to customers, with spy photographs emerging that showcased a bulkier, more aggressive-looking Bronco. Thanks to The Bronco Nation, we finally get a look at the Bronco Raptor in action off-road, spinning tires and approaching a ramp at high speed… but we don’t get to see it catch significant air. At least not yet.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor In Action

You can listen to the exhaust note of the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor, which we believe to be the sound of the 400 3.0L EcoBoost V6 found in the Ford Explorer ST as it makes its way around a pre-built off-road track testing out the suspension, which seems to work wonders as it bounces over bumps on the trail. The unique daytime running lights give the first-ever Bronco Raptor a menacing look, like the glowing yellow eyes of an airborne predator, which is precisely what a Raptor is. Also, they had yellow eyes in Jurassic Park.

Images from Bronco Nation place a Base Bronco next to a 2022 Bronco Raptor, and it puts into perspective just how much this new off-road SUV stands out. With a suspension lift and 37-inch KO2 tires as part of the chassis, the Bronco Raptor absolutely dwarfs the standard model, which is already by no means is a small SUV.

Additionally, the world gets its first “official” look at the undercarriage, including a Raptor-branded rear diff cover, along with how the exhaust system is routed and tucked out of the way for maximum clearance. No, it doesn’t appear to be retractable.

Joining the Ford Bronco Raptor for the 2022 model year will be the upcoming Bronco Everglades, while a manual transmission option on the Sasquatch Package is already available for ordering, which has had an enormous demand.

We’re still not sure what the pricing for the Bronco Raptor will be, but it won’t come as a surprise if it’s over $60,000. Or even closer to $70,000. If you were disappointed that the Bronco Raptor doesn’t come with a V8, there’s the $250,000 Bronco DR race truck. And if the apex predator SUV isn’t your style, wait for the Ford Bronco Heritage Edition in 2023.
