When the C8 Chevrolet Corvette first debuted, it took the world by storm. Its standout design was tailored for a younger audience, which appears to be working, while the mid-rear engine layout allows for better power management off the line (ask any C7 Corvette engineer – they’ll tell you that the platform just didn’t have any more to give), while its weight distribution came with superior balance, as well. However, those who wish their Corvettes looked a bit more like a Ferrari, namely around the vehicle’s backside, would need to turn to the aftermarket. That’s where Competition Carbon has been hard at work putting together just what some are looking for: circular tail lights.

Competition Carbon has been working on a design for aftermarket circular tail lights for the C8 Corvette. It seems they’ve finally crafted something they’re proud of and ready to release to the public. The original plan was to use shelf lights to piece together their design. However, that wasn’t up to par with their standards, and they decided to make everything from scratch. Carbon fiber fills in the empty spaces left over after removing the original tail lights, which we think adds to the look of the design. There will be frosted versions offered as well, and the estimated time of availability is around 5-6 months. That puts things at May of 2022.
If you’re looking for a way to elevate the exterior look of your C8 Corvette, this is a perfect option for you. Giving the rear appearance of the vehicle more aggression, it will no doubt serve to catch the attention of more people and work as a conversation piece for fellow enthusiasts.
