The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor has everybody giddy with excitement, and rightfully so. An SUV with 37-inch tires and a high-output EcoBoost V6 engine should get anybody excited. But there’s another Bronco variant about the emerge out of the shadows – no, the swamp – at the same time as Ford’s latest killer bird. We’re talking about the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades, in case you’ve forgotten. And today is the first big teaser.
2022 Ford Bronco Everglades: The First Details
According to The Bronco Nation, Ford’s official Bronco blog, full details on the new Everglades trim level will be disclosed in Q1 2022. However, we still are left with a few nuggets of what to expect.
For example, while spy photos already confirmed a passenger-side mounted snorkel, we now learn that the snorkel is fixed with a trap door in the unlikely event of any mud or water entering the intake. As it stands, a Ford Bronco Sasquatch has an official water fording capability of 33.5-inches, while the base model is just less at 31.5 (because smaller tires). With the addition of a snorkel, the water fording rating anybody’s guess.
Then there’s the Warn winch. Also previously confirmed, the winch is actually available to Ford Bronco customers right now, along with the heavy-duty modular front bumper, via the Ford Performance accessories catalog.

Thirdly, the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades has a set of 35-inch LT315/70R17 Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, unique wheels, a roof rack, MIC hard top, and a slide-out tailgate. A Ford dealer memo stated that the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades will carry order code 922A and will only be available as a four-door model. Other notable features include an exclusive Desert Sand exterior color, as well as a vinyl “Overland” Black Onyx interior option. As the photos suggest, it can be had in Eruption Green, as well.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades will hit the market this summer. Marketing manager Mark Grueber exclusively told MC&T last month that customers shouldn’t expect a reservation process upon its debut.
“I wouldn’t anticipate reservations for Everglades. What we’re gonna do with Raptor is still under discussion, so nothing to share at this time,” he said.
