Sander Jennings recently came to his sister Jazz's defense after calling out a social media user for leaving a hateful comment on his latest Instagram post.

The 23-year-old posted a clip to his Instagram page on Wednesday, January 5, to advocate for transgender rights, when one user tried made a specific comment about Sander and his famous family.

Sander and his collaborator on the clip, Schuyler Bailar, were explaining in the video why trans people don't have the responsibility to explain or label their identity for others, which one hater seemed to have an issue with.

"Omg labels labels and labels all day for this family," the critic wrote in the comment section. "It's a contradiction to saying I'm tired of labels and y'all got a pronouns for anything."

Sander responded by accusing the commenter of "bullying" his family in the past — specifically Jazz, who is known as an outspoken transgender woman who advocates for LGBTQ+ rights.

"You have been in my DM bullying Jazz and my family," Sander replied. "It's not right. Spread love instead of hate ❤️."

In his caption on the post, Sander explained: "trans people don't owe anybody their identities," despite the pressure to come out to people. "Not disclosing transness is not lying. It's not hiding. It's not tricking."

"Trans people get to decide when they share their identity with others," his caption continued. "It's up to others to create a safe space to allow people to come out to you — if and when they are ready."

Along with being a longtime supporter of his sister Jazz and her transitioning journey, Sander has recently continued his role as an LGBTQ+ ally by speaking out about his experience with dating trans women.

"I've never dated a trans woman," Sander said earlier in the current season of I Am Jazz before going on his first date with a trans woman. "But I know that I'm only attracted to women, and trans women are women."

As OK! previously reported, Sander recently opened up about the rockiness of his love life, admitting to his followers he has been single for the past five years.

"Through my dating trials and tribulations, I've learned a lot," he shared, "and two things keep me hopeful: 1. I know I want to connect with someone emotionally, physically, spiritually, and in the right situation (timing is everything.) 2. That I must remain open-minded to love and never close the door on someone I see a potential connection with because of fear of what others might think."
