Striking out! Matthew Perryisn’t having any luck in the romance department as of late, and a source says he’s hoping his old showbiz pals can set him up.

Perry, 52, who split from fiancée Molly Hurwitz in June, “desperately wants to meet someone new,” spills the source, adding that he’s been “begging” former costars Jennifer Anistonand Courteney Coxto help out.

The 17 Again star hit a low point after the Friends reunion last spring when he was stung by comments about his haggard appearance, “and since then he’s been trying to pull himself together,” explains the source.

But the long-troubled actor — who’s battled addiction and health issues — “hasn’t been able to land a date because women are wary of him and his creepy, self-deprecating humor,” the source dishes.

“He doesn’t realize it, but he’s putting Jen and Courteney in an awkward position. They're not opposed to trying, but with all of his baggage, he's not exactly a catch!"

As OK! previously reported, Perry was attempting to get himself "back on track" following the HBO Max reunion special that had viewers worried about his well being. Now, the star is trying to make much needed changes to his life.

“The things people were saying about how terrible he looked really hurt him,” says a pal. “Now he’s determined to get back on track physically and mentally.”

“He’s sticking to a low-carb diet and drinking lots of green juices and protein shakes,” shares the friend. "He's even hired a trainer and started lifting weights, which is something he hates."
