FORD MAVERICK FX4 FEATURES GRAPHIC DECALS INSPIRD BY THE MUSTANG MACH 1

A 2022 Ford Maverick owner took the liberty in creating a rather stylish graphics package for his truck modeled after the mighty Ford Mustang Mach 1. Even as the Maverick doesn’t come in Fighter Jet Gray, this entry-level pickup truck did come in a similarly colored Cactus Gray, and its owner simply added some black/orange decals from there. Even the FX4 badging features the black and orange color scheme.

2022 Ford Maverick FX4 “Mav-1”: Details

Ford Maverick owner Matt posted an assortment of images onto the Maverick Truck Club forum featuring his Cactus Gray Maverick paired with the custom graphics. According to him, Mustangs have been part of his family for an exceptionally long time, with his dad owning a 1965 Ivy Green Mustang that he heard stories about. Matt then helped his father modify a 1994 GT, 1996 Mystic Cobra, and 2003 10th Anniversary Edition Mustang. While he and his father are more into trucks now, he stated that taking some Mustang vibes and putting them onto his Maverick was fun.

The decals work nicely with the Maverick and have been positioned on the center of the hood and the sides, just as one would see with the Mustang Mach 1. As we mentioned before, the FX4 Off-Road package badging has also been replaced with the black and orange outlined color scheme lettering, which is a nice touch. It makes this particular Ford Maverick unique to this individual. So while there may be people that take inspiration from the design, Matt can rest easy knowing he was the first.

The XLT trim on the Ford Maverick seems to be the most popular choice as it sits at a middle ground between the base XL trim, which is the cheapest and features the least amount of goodies, and the more expensive Lariat trim, which has all that one could ever want on the Ford Maverick.

Hey, Ford Design, have you seen this?
